1903-S. PCGS graded MS-66. A satiny smooth creamy white gem specimen that shows just a hint of delicate peach tone. Scarce semi-key date and seldom seen this choice, as virtually all of these come either circulated or in much lower mint state grades. This example is breathtaking and will be a major highlight in any advanced Morgan silver dollar collection. Most of the original mintage of this date and mint was melted some years later under the Pittman Act of 1918, although a small number of these were released with the Treasury holdings in 1953, which likely accounts for the modest number of mint state examples known today.
