Gemini 3: 20 Photos of John Young, 14 in his Space Suit During Training and Pre-Flight, Six Candid Shots Including Medical Tests. Gemini 3: The first crewed mission of Project Mercury and was the first time two American astronauts flew together into space. This mission was also the last crewed flight controlled by Cape Kennedy Air Force Station in Florida, before mission control functions were moved to a new control center at the newly opened Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, Texas.
Fine collection of 20 B&W still of pilot John Young with 14 in his space suit undergoing tests and pre-flight. Six he is his civvies but getting medical tests as well as some candid shots. All are vintage original B&W 8 x 10" stills in excellent condition with only minor undulation at borders.
