Old Pawn, Sandcast, Sterling Silver Navajo Buckle from the Early 1970s with Superb Pre-Owned Naturally Burnished Leather Belt. An exceptional example of Old Pawn silver buckle created by the art of sandcasting, a technique rarely seen today due it's time consuming nature and required level of expertise. The design goes back to the late 1800s found at Trading Posts throughout the Southwest. A classic by any measure the buckle is as admired today as it has been through the decades past. 2.5 x 3.5" the buckle has remained in exceptional condition. Original belt is stamped George Carroll and is 40" in length and 1.5" in width burnished from decades of wear without any structural issues. Only one belt hole. Estimated Value $400 - 600
