Five Sterling Silver Kiddush Cups, Each Very Appealing and all in Excellent Condition. Early to Midlle 20th Century. Wonderful collection of five (5) sterling silver Kiddush Cups 1900-1990 each having qualities that stand out from the rest. All tested sterling silver and all in excellent condition.
1) Vintage sterling silver Kiddush Cup (1900 to 1924) Hallmarked MMA.IM Fine Silver and having surprising weight 5 x 2.5 x 2.5" 157.65 grams
2.) Vintage German sterling silver presentation Kiddush cup awarded to Br. Ernst Nopper, from a Jewish Organization. dated 1908 8 x 3.5 x 3.5, 151 grams
3.) Vintage sterling silver Kiddush cup with 3 green turquoise cabochons alternating with three applied grape clusters as well as smaller grape clusters applied around the rim and two rows on the base. A very attractive vintage cup. 7 x 3.5 x 3.5" 136.5 grams
4.) Vintage sterling silver Kiddush cup with etched garlands around mouth of cup interspersed with Hebrew writing. 154 grams
5.) Outstanding sterling silver lidded Kiddush cup with elegantly crafted and applied vines and grape clusters surrounding the cup. Lid fits snugly and cup is in excellent condition. A previous owner soldered a small 4" metal strip to give slightly more weight to the base so the cup wouldn't tip surprising given how heavy the cup is without it. 4 x 4.5 x 4.5 with a total gross weight of 436 grams. The best piece in the lot.
