Roman Glass; Intriguing Translucent Green Glass Jar with Heavy Blue/Green Glass Zig-Zag Patterned Embellishment ca. 4th-5th Century A.D. Translucent green glass jar of a very common, utilitarian shape embellished to a far more fancy vessel. Jar is heavily decorated with blue/green glass with hints of purple and pinks draped in a zig-zag pattern surrounding the mouth to mid-level of jar. Further, the entire jar has light iridescence with considerable sediment residue inside. 3 x 2½". In superior condition, this is a remarkably stout jar.
