He was also one of the architects of the Locarno Agreements, for which he shared the 1925 Nobel Prize for Peace with U.S. Vice President Charles G. Dawes. Draft of a speech Signed, Jan. 15, 1935, 11 pages related to the growing tensions between the European powers and praising efforts of the League of Nations, despite German threats. Written on the day of the Saar Plebiscite that returned the industrial region to German control. Signature is large and bold. Excellent content.
