Remarkable, Antique Victorian 20 Karat Yellow Gold, Enamel and Exquisite Star Sapphire Cabochon Hinged Bangle Bracelet. An exquisite Victorian bracelet, certainly a museum piece. Tests at 20 K yellow gold and having exquisite enameling of gold scroll work. The visible star pattern on the cabochon is stunning in a bezel with intricate foliate work.
The bracelet is not without its flaws. There is a rosette missing to one side of the bracelet that a competent jeweler could replace. Under a loop there is minor pitting in the enamel. Finally the enamel crest and cabochon "plate" needs tightening. Nevertheless for the right devotee or collector of 19th Century jewelry this is a piece worth restoring to its original beauty.
