Arthur, Chester 21st President of the United States and Benjamin Harrison the 23rd President Each Signing a White House Note Card as President. Chester Arthur (1830-1886) Extremely clean signature on note card with engraving of the White House 3.5 x 5". When James Garfield was shot by an assassin; Arthur was his Vice President and assumed the presidency. Arthur was already in poor health when taking the oath of office and died a year after his administration.
Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) Outstanding signature on White House card signed as President. Harrison accomplished quite a bit in his four years but tariffs and spending cost him his re-election to Grover Cleveland. Card is 3.5 x 5" and in mint condition. Also included is Harrison's Inaugural Ball ticket, 7 x 5" and a beautiful engraving of a simple farmer, Lady Liberty and an eagle all overlooking the Potomac River and Washington D.C.
