1803, JR-3. Sharpness of Extremely Fine or better. A very desirable high grade example of the elusive 1803 Draped Bust dime. Hair detail complete and all stars and legend present. The surfaces are a dusty light grey with hints of lighter luster about the borders. Probably cleaned long ago and still quite desirable despite a scattering of tiny marks particularly on the reverse. If these marks were not present this coin would be worth well into the five figures for this incredible state of preservation. Still desirable and with a lot of history and appeal for an early Draped Bust dime of 1803. This was the year of the adoption of the Louisiana Purchase! Impressive overall.
